In October 2021 Gateshead Community Organisation found a new base, following the ups and downs of the pandemic we can now push forward with our aims. Callendar Court is an over 55’s independent living block run by Housing 21 in Beacon Lough.

Our main activity in this new setting is running the kitchen and making sure we provide fresh, nutritious meals served by kind, caring people to the lovely residents of the court. Our meals and full cafe menu are also available to members of the public who are welcome to come in and use the restaurant, which is open 365 days a year.

We are starting to develop a range of activities throughout the week, follow us on Facebook to find out more, for example every Thursday we have Pie of week followed by a singalong. Friday is Fish and Chips followed by Bingo!
